Nine months of unreconciled accounts cleared in six weeks
An education provider's books had drifted nearly a year behind. We rebuilt the reconciliations period by period, then moved them onto a monthly close with reporting they could finally hand to their board with confidence.
Real client engagements. Names withheld to protect client confidentiality.
We use AI to capture documents, code transactions, catch errors and draft reports, so your books close sooner and our time goes on the work that needs a qualified eye.
Receipt & invoice capture
Receipts in inboxes, photos on phones and PDFs keyed in by hand.
Bank transaction categorisation
Hundreds of bank lines coded one by one each month.
Anomaly & duplicate detection
Duplicate payments, miscoded expenses and odd balances found at year end.
Management report commentary
Reports full of numbers that don't say what changed or why.
Every industry has its own quirks — deferred revenue for events, multi-property reporting, term-based billing for education. We build your books around how your business actually runs.

Common Questions
OutsourcedbookkeepingFAQs
How much does outsourced bookkeeping cost?
Pricing is fixed and monthly, based on your transaction volume and complexity — not an hourly rate. Packages start from £350 per month for bookkeeping, £650 with VAT returns and cash flow reporting, and £1,200 for a full outsourced finance function. You'll get an exact quote after a short discovery call, before any work begins.
Can you clean up bookkeeping that's months or years behind?
Yes. Bookkeeping clean-ups and catch-up work are a core part of what we do — we reconcile every outstanding period, fix errors and duplicates, then move you onto a regular monthly close so it doesn't happen again.
What software do you work in?
Primarily Xero and QuickBooks Online, plus Sage, BrightPay and Syft Analytics. If you're on a different platform, we'll assess it during onboarding and recommend the best path forward.
Do you handle VAT returns and payroll?
Yes. MTD-compliant VAT returns are included from our Growth package and available as one-off returns, and payroll — pay runs, RTI submissions and pension auto-enrolment — is available alongside any package or on its own.
Can you replace our in-house finance team?
Our Full Finance Function package covers bookkeeping, VAT, supplier payments, management accounts, annual accounts and process automation — the output of a finance department for a fixed monthly fee.
Do you work with businesses in the UK and the US?
Yes. We work fully remotely with UK and US businesses in Xero and QuickBooks Online, with pricing in GBP or USD. For UK clients we handle MTD VAT returns and payroll; for US clients we keep your books reconciled and review-ready and work alongside your CPA on tax filings.
How long does onboarding take?
Most clients are fully onboarded within 1–2 weeks. If there's a backlog to clean up first, we'll give you a realistic timeline for that during the discovery call.
Can you work alongside our existing accountant?
Yes — we regularly handle bookkeeping and the monthly close while collaborating with an external accountant or tax adviser on tax planning and filing.
Do you use AI in your bookkeeping?
Yes. We use AI and automation for repetitive work such as reading receipts, suggesting transaction codes, proposing reconciliation matches and drafting report commentary. A qualified accountant reviews and approves the work, and we only use AI services whose terms exclude your data from model training.
Is there a long-term contract?
No lock-in — engagements are month-to-month. We'd rather earn the relationship every month than hold you to a contract.
